One Health Annual Conference 2026
Organized by: One Health India Organization (a unit of BBIF) In collaboration with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar
Dates: 9th & 10th October 2026
Venue: Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India
Theme: “One Health Approach: Integrating Human, Animal & Environmental Health for Sustainable Futures”
About the Conference
The One Health Annual Conference 2026 is envisioned as a premier interdisciplinary platform designed to bring together leading experts, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from the domains of human health, veterinary sciences, environmental sciences, public health, academia, and industry.
In an era marked by increasing emergence of zoonotic diseases, climate change, ecological disruptions, and antimicrobial resistance, the need for an integrated and collaborative approach to health has never been more critical. The conference is built around the One Health paradigm, which recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, and promotes coordinated, cross-sectoral solutions to complex global health challenges.
This two-day conference will serve as a dynamic forum for:
•Knowledge exchange through scientific sessions, expert talks, and panel discussions
•Interdisciplinary collaboration among stakeholders across sectors
•Showcasing innovations in diagnostics, genomics, vaccines, and digital health
•Policy dialogue to strengthen governance and implementation frameworks
•Capacity building for researchers, clinicians, and public health professionals
Participants will engage in in-depth discussions and deliberations on key thematic areas, including:
•Zoonotic Diseases & Pandemic Preparedness: Strengthening surveillance systems, early warning mechanisms, and coordinated response strategies to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
•Climate Change & Environmental Health: Understanding the impact of environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, and climate variability on disease patterns and population health.
•Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): Addressing the growing threat of AMR through stewardship programs, regulatory frameworks, and a One Health approach across human and animal sectors.
•Translational Research, Genomics & Biobanking: Bridging the gap between laboratory research and real-world applications, with emphasis on advanced diagnostics, vaccine development, and biobanking for future preparedness.
•Public Health Systems & Community Implementation: Strengthening health systems, enhancing rural and community healthcare delivery, and promoting awareness and behavioral change at the grassroots level.
By fostering dialogue between science, policy, and practice, the conference aims to generate actionable insights, strategic partnerships, and sustainable solutions that can contribute to strengthening the One Health ecosystem in India and globally.
